Blonde Ambition – the Madonna Tribute Dinner Show. Two nights of Madonna? YES PLEASE! Join us for a Friday and Saturday night Dinner Show inspired by the one and only Madonna. Iconic music, bold style and unforgettable energy come together for an elevated evening out. Indulge in a four course plated dinner then enjoy the tribute performance that will have you dancing to all the great Madonna tunes. 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the Native Heritage Gardens at Maidstone Bicentennial Museum! The property itself is a living museum, home to over 70 species of Native trees, shrubs, & plants, many rare and some endangered. The grounds are also certified as a wildlife-friendly habitat by the Canadian Wildlife Federation. Enjoy a self-guided stroll of the grounds or a guided tour by a Museum Gardener.

he Tecumseh Corn Festival returns from August 22 to 24 with a full weekend of community celebration, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and classic festival attractions.

Across three days, the festival grounds come alive with a busy midway featuring carnival rides, arts and crafts vendors, food options, and a wide range of interactive programming. Guests can also enjoy returning favourites such as corn eating contests, magic shows, dog agility demonstrations, soapbox derby racing, and hands-on community exhibits.

Live entertainment runs throughout the weekend across multiple stages, with daytime programming focused on families and evening lineups shifting into live music and 19 plus entertainment areas, including headline performances and DJ sets.

Each day offers a structured schedule of events, beginning Friday at noon, continuing through full programming on Saturday, and wrapping up on Sunday with final contests, performances, and closing activities at 5:00 PM.

The festival is a summer tradition for Tecumseh and the surrounding region, bringing together community groups, local businesses, and visitors for a weekend of food, entertainment, and shared experiences. Full schedules are subject to change and are updated regularly by organizers.

The 171st Harrow Fair continues a long-standing tradition that celebrates rural heritage, community spirit, and agricultural excellence in Essex County. This annual fair brings together visitors from across the region for a weekend rooted in local pride and hands-on country fair culture.

Held at the grounds, the event features a wide range of attractions including livestock shows, homecraft and agricultural exhibits, live entertainment, food vendors, midway rides, and programming led by 4-H and community organizations.

The Ruthven Apple Festival is an annual fall celebration that highlights the region’s apple harvest, local community spirit, and seasonal traditions in Essex County. The event takes place at in Ruthven, Ontario, and brings together families, neighbours, local producers, and artisans for a weekend of food, entertainment, and community connection.

Visitors can explore more than 100 craft and food vendors offering handmade goods, seasonal products, and festival favourites, alongside a farmers’ market showcasing fresh local produce. Live music and entertainment run throughout the event, adding to the lively atmosphere across the grounds.

A Sunday car show adds another popular highlight, drawing in automotive enthusiasts and casual visitors alike for a showcase of classic and specialty vehicles.

Beyond the festivities, the Ruthven Apple Festival plays a meaningful role in the community, having raised over $1 million in support of Community Living Essex County, helping individuals with intellectual disabilities lead full and independent lives.
