When it comes to shopping, I like to consider myself an expert. When it comes to finding the best local shops, I’d say I’m a pro. In every corner of our region, there’s a space to get lost in when shopping for yourself or someone you love. There’s something so exciting about finding a unique piece in a local shop; one, because you know your finds will be truly authentic, and two, because you know you’re supporting a local small business where every dollar spent helps fuel the creativity and drive that helps our local entrepreneurial ecosystem thrive. The following are my picks for the top 5 must-visit boutiques in YQG.
1. November’s Eve
Visit them @ 100 Lesperance Rd Unit 2, Tecumseh, Ontario

2. Bunch
Visit them @ 1018 Drouillard Rd, Windsor, ON
For those seeking comfort, excitement, and a touch of nostalgia, Bunch is the ultimate destination. Located in the heart of Ford City, this boutique offers a curated collection of goods for the home and body, with a cozy retro vibe.
Founder Lauren’s passion for design and vintage finds shines through in Bunch’s eclectic mix of products, which range from home decor to small-scale clothing designers’ creations. “From the moment someone walks into Bunch, I want them to feel like they have just stepped back in time (or into their grandparent’s basement). Filling every nook and cranny with vintage decor and furniture was in the works since the very beginning of Bunch in 2021. I want people to not only shop but come and hang out, read a book, and enjoy the space!” says Lauren Potvin, owner of Bunch. “Curating items from all over North America, I want to highlight the makers, artists, and small businesses that hand make and design their own products. I look for items that have the aesthetic that fit in the store, are high quality and also aren’t mass-produced. The end result is this space that, in the simplest way to put it, is a bunch of stuff- and also a bunch of my favourite stuff! Fun apparel, unique home decor, and retro and vintage goods that could work pretty much anywhere.” With a focus on sustainability, Bunch supports independent designers and artisans while minimizing its environmental impact, making it a conscious shopper’s paradise.
