Ryan Reynolds is arguably one of the most eminent figures in the movie industry now. For those who don’t know, Ryan Reynolds was actually born in Vancouver, Canada on the 23rd of October 1976. He spent his childhood in Vancouver where he also went to school. He took his first role in a movie when he was only 12 years old, when he played a role in the show called Hillside which aired from 1991 to 1993.
Some of Reynolds best starring appeared in the following movies: Deadpool from 2016, Mississippi Grind from 2015, Adventureland from 2009, The Adam Project from 2022, and so forth. His most recent appearance in the media was the premiere of It Ends with Us where his wife, Blake Lively played the protagonist. Blake even informed the public that Ryan wrote one of the most important scenes from the movie. Ryan Reynolds has been married to Blake Lively since 2012 and they have four children together: James, Inez, Betty and Olin.
2. Drake
Drake, whose original name is Aubrey Drake Graham is another extremely popular celebrity from Canada. Drake was born in Ontario on the 24th of October 1986. It could be said that Drake was born and raised in a family that listened to and practiced a lot of music since his dad was the drummer of Jerry Lee Lewis. He was brought up by his mom in Forest Hill and lived there for all of his childhood. Interestingly enough, Drake’s first debut in the public was actually in acting. He starred in the Degrassi: The Next Generation that was launched in 2001 and had 13 seasons.
Drake, however, found himself better in the music industry. His first debut to the audience was with the mixtape named Room for Improvement. This initial breakthrough in the music industry was somewhat successful, however his best songs were to come in the upcoming year. His best performances when it comes to singing and the music videos were definitely seen on Hold On, We’re Going Home featuring Majid Jordan from 2013, Nice for What from 2018, Child’s Play from 2016 and Hotline Bling from 2016. Drake continues to produce music to this day and almost every track he releases becomes super popular overnight. Needless to say, he also made a lot of money producing and selling music and today it is reported that his net worth is up to $250 million.
3. Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber or the singer of the rather famous debut Baby soundtrack from 2010, where he featured Ludacris, comes third on the list. Justin was born on the 1st of March 1994 in Ontario, Canada. His story is that of a Cinderella whose fame came in the blink of an eye. Unlike the common stories of celebrities who find an agent who introduces them to a network of people in the industry, Justin was simply uploading his singing videos to YouTube. He was discovered by the talent manager Scooter Braun who saw the potential and decided to help him set his first steps in the music industry.
Ever since, Justin Bieber has been really loved by people and quickly gained a fan base. When producing his debut song, Justin was only 13 years old. Being that young and becoming that famous was definitely a hard thing to deal with for Bieber, media reports. Justin stated that oftentimes he felt lost in the big world of the entertainment industry and there was a period in his life when he changed completely and started doing hard drugs. Fortunately, Justin recovered from that time and after a few public breakups, he ended up marrying Hayley Bieber in 2018. Just recently, three weeks ago to be exact, Justin and Hayley informed the public of the birth of their son, whom they named Jack Blues Bieber.
It is to be concluded that these Canadian celebrities represent Canada and Canadian culture at its best. This also goes to show that Canada has enriched the entertainment industry with a lot of talents over time and continues to do so in the present. It goes without saying that Canada also has famous people in other industries as well, such as entrepreneurs, book authors, sportsmen and sportswomen, fashion icons and so forth.
